Stroll through the Princely Garden

The Garden at DuchcovIf the weather is pleasant, we suggest taking a leisurely walk around the charming sphinx pond located in the park or enjoying a romantic stroll in the Prince’s Garden, which is designed in a beautiful French style known as à la française. This garden has been reconstructed to reflect the baroque gardens of the chateau, and in the 18th century, it was expanded with a staircase linking to the lower park. One of the few elements to have survived all these changes is the baroque statue of Nike , crafted by Matthias Bernard Braun during the 1830s. The goddess of Victory stands proudly on a winged globe and overlooks the staircase located in the northernmost part of the garden. Entry to the Prince’s Garden is free and is available during the castle’s opening hours.
