Representation Rooms and the Count Haugwitz Suite

Náměšt' CastleNáměšt’ Castle will welcome visitors for the first time this year on the weekend of April 5 and 6. Weekend tours will be available throughout the rest of the month, except during Easter (from April 17 to April 21, 2025), when it will also be open for tours on Easter Monday. During this period, guests can choose between two different tours: the Representation Rooms and the Count Haugwitz Suite. The castle is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and tours will be conducted continuously without a lunch break. The final tour of the day will begin one hour before closing time.

Count Haugwitz ApartmentThe Representation Rooms showcase the castle’s Chapel, the inner arcaded courtyard, and the first-floor areas meant for representation. In addition to the stunning Baroque decor found in the chapel, you can particularly enjoy a distinctive collection of tapestries, a unique exhibit about dining at Náměšt’ Castle, and the newly opened former winter garden that includes terraces on the castle’s southern side.

The Count Haugwitz Apartment offers an insight into the private life of the estate’s owner from the early 20th century. This segment of the castle tour encompasses the inner Renaissance courtyard and eight different rooms in the Count’s apartment (which include an entrance room, a dining room, a music room, a bedroom, a study, a club room, a billiard room, and a bathroom). The entire experience concludes in the castle library with its reading room—the most beautiful hall within the castle.

Special tours of the Royal and Children’s Suites

Náměšt' nad OslavouFrom July 2025, every Saturday and Sunday, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Royal and Children’s Suites. The Royal Suite is made up of the south and west wings located on the upper floor of the castle and was primarily used as accommodation for distinguished guests of the Haugwitz family. Part of these suites was transformed into a storage area in 2015, marking the first phase of a more extensive rehabilitation project meant to restore the upper floor to its early 20th-century look. Since 2018, the Royal and Children’s Apartments have been fully accessible as part of the visitor experience. These suites are available for tours only during July and August on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Additionally, during the autumn season, they will be open on public holidays September 28 and October 28 (specifically, on the holiday weekends of September 27-28 and October 25-29 in 2025). Tours begin at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on those particular days, and only at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. from October 25-29. The tour is located on the uppermost floor of the castle, with 100 steps to climb.
