Discover Tomorrow’s Road Closures: What You Need to Know!

On Saturday, April 5th, the 25th Generali Half Marathon Prague is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Runners from all over are set to take off from the picturesque Bubenské nábřeží in the Holešovice district, which will also be the location where the race concludes. The event is anticipated to finish around 1 p.m.
The course for the race will wind its way through several districts including Prague 1, 2, 5, 7, and 8, necessitating temporary road closures and parking restrictions for the sake of safety.
Authorities have declared that access to the affected areas will be granted to vehicles only under specific conditions. The police will be closely monitoring traffic limitations, and a comprehensive race map is readily available on the official event webpage.
Which Roads Will Be Closed?
Drivers should get ready for temporary road blockages and make alternate travel plans. Here’s a list of the streets and areas that will be impacted:

Bubenské nábřeží (stretching from Komunardů Street to Argentinská) – closed starting from April 4 at 6 a.m. until April 5 at 8 p.m.

Komunardů Street (between Bubenské nábřeží and Jateční) – no entry will be allowed on April 5 from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Prague 7 – impacted roads include Jateční, Argentinská, Hlávkův most, Bubenská, Edvarda Beneše nábřeží, Kapitána Jaroše nábřeží, Jankovcova, and Libeňský most.

Prague 5 – includes closures on Janáčkovo nábřeží, Dienzenhoferovy sady, Zborovská, Svornosti, and Strakonická.

Prague 2 – specific areas include Jiráskův most and Rašínovo nábřeží.

Prague 1 – roads affected include Čechův most, náměstí Curieových, 17. listopadu, náměstí Jana Palacha, Křižovnická, Smetanovo nábřeží, most Legií, Masarykovo nábřeží, Národní, 28. října, Na Příkopě, Celetná, Staroměstské náměstí, Pařížská, Dvořákovo nábřeží, Ludvík Svoboda nábřeží, and the Těšnovský tunnel.

Disruptions to Public Transport
Several tram and bus lines will be impacted, with a recommendation for increased metro service for those traveling within the city. The following public transport routes will see changes:
