Exciting Culinary Ventures: Fairmont Hotel Unveils Six New Dining Experiences!

After 50 years of operating as a premium hotel, the Fairmont Golden Prague is set to make its grand return this summer following a thorough renovation that cost several million euros.
This iconic brutalist structure, situated in Prague’s Old Town near Pařížská Street and providing stunning views of the Vltava River, is owned by Czech billionaire Oldřich Šlemr’s investment company, R2G.
1970s, the hotel artfully combines its rich architectural history with modern design elements, integrating Czech art and traditional glassmaking into its interior spaces. The establishment will offer 320 newly designed guest rooms, suites, and apartments, many of which will showcase breathtaking views of Prague Castle and the city’s historic skyline.
The dining experience will boast six distinctive restaurants and bars, presenting an enticing blend of Czech, Asian, and European flavors. Among the standout venues are the Zlatá Praha Restaurant, the Green House, and Golden Eye, each promising a sophisticated yet laid-back atmosphere.
Let’s delve deeper into what awaits.
Zlatá Praha
This restaurant is the highlight of the hotel’s dining options. The exclusive rooftop venue provides breathtaking panoramic views of Prague’s historical center as well as the elegant Pařížská Street. Its menu centers around modern interpretations of Czech cuisine, while the space itself is crafted with a contemporary design. There is an outdoor terrace available for those who enjoy al fresco dining.
Greenhouse
This casual yet chic restaurant pays homage to Czech beer culture and features a terrace embellished with vibrant greenery and aromatic herb gardens. The interior boasts a nature-inspired aesthetic, harmoniously blending organic materials with sleek metallic and concrete details, creating a modern and inviting setting that perfectly complements its riverside location.
Golden Eye
This rooftop bar offers breathtaking views of both the river and the cityscape. Designed by a British studio, its interior incorporates gold accents, brass, dark wood, and reflective mirrors, evoking a cosmopolitan vibe reminiscent of the 1970s. The menu includes modern Asian culinary creations, paired with live DJ performances for a lively atmosphere.
Coocoo’s Nest
The hotel’s lobby bar is connected to an art gallery and draws its name from the classic Miloš Forman film, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” highlighting its connection to Czech-American cinema. Here, diners can enjoy a unique fusion of artistic atmosphere and exceptional service in a truly distinctive venue.
Kafka Brasserie
This dining spot, Kafka Brasserie, highlights wooden sculptures by the artist Čestmír Kafka and features guild crests in its ceiling design. It also showcases a striking glass piece by Jan Černohorský and displays Czech film posters. This restaurant is well-suited for breakfast, group lunches, and delightful brunches.
Tilia Garden
Tilia Garden provides a tranquil dining experience inspired by the Czech national symbol, the linden tree. The restaurant’s decor harmonizes nature with modern Czech design, featuring sky-blue ceramic tiles, elegant brass accents, and expansive glass surfaces, resulting in a light-filled, serene ambiance.
