female hockey playersThe thrilling knockout stage will kick off with the quarterfinals scheduled for Thursday, April 17 in 2025. Following a day of rest, the weekend will be dedicated to the medal matches. The semi-finals will take place on Saturday, culminating with the final and the third-place game on Sunday, April 20. In the previous year, the World Championships were held in Utica, USA, where Hockey Canada claimed the championship title, and the Czech team finished in a disappointing fourth place. However, they are looking to improve their performance on their home turf.

The main square, Přemysl Otakar II., will transform into a lively spectator fanzone, and there will be traffic restrictions between the arena and the nearby parking garage. With a ticket purchased for the matches, fans will be able to utilize public transportation throughout the city. There will also be a VIP zone constructed next to the arena in the summer cinema . As is customary, Czech Television will broadcast the hockey matches live on its sports channel, CT sport. Fans can also enjoy online streaming and a special tournament studio.

Park your car and reach the arena using public transport or on foot

female hockey playersFrom April 6 to 21 in 2025, there will be a continuous traffic regime in the area around the hockey arena due to the closure of F Street A. Gerstnera, specifically from Goethova Street to Mánesová Street. To ensure the event runs smoothly and safely, vehicles will not be permitted to enter or park in this area, although the bus stop will remain open during the championship. Therefore, it will be much easier to use public transport during the event. If you are driving to the South Bohemian capital, we suggest parking your vehicle in nearby lots that are conveniently within walking distance, such as the Stromovka parking garage (enter from Volejbalistů Street) or the P+R Dynamo parking area.
Another important note for fans to keep in mind, compared to a regular extra league game, is the restrictions on bicycles and scooters around the arena. The best option for bicycle parking will be at the Stromovka parking lot near the Sports Hall.
