Model 2025 Exhibition Kicks Off in Olomouc

The 23rd edition of the For Model exhibition, where you can buy models and collectibles, is happening this year from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, March 23, 2025. This is one of the largest events in our country that focuses on models, collecting, as well as digital technologies, games, toys, and building blocks. It will take place at the Flora Exhibition Centre located in Olomouc, specifically in Hall A, Hall E, and the surrounding areas. At For Model 2025, you can expect a fantastic showcase of incredible models, prized collections, digital technologies, toys, and building kits. Numerous modellers specializing in railways, ships, and aircraft from both the Czech Republic and abroad will be there to show off their amazing work.

There will be a variety of model categories on display, including sailboats, submarines, and combat vessels. The popular exhibition will showcase both plastic and paper models of modern cars and classic vintage cars, car racing tracks, as well as models of construction machines and trucks. The For Model 2025 exhibition will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Tickets are available for 190 Kč on the Výstaviště Flora Olomouc website. Tickets will cost more if purchased directly at the exhibition, but for those who have discounted tickets bought online, there will be a special entrance to help skip the lines at the box office. Children under six years old can enter for free.

Exclusive and unique railway model

This year’s exhibition features a notable change: the model railway exhibition will now be located in the main exhibition space in Hall A. One special highlight will be the garden railway in “G” size created by Mr. Jan Barton. This model has been designed specifically for the For Model 2025 event and will be taken apart after the exhibition ends. The garden railway track at the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Grounds has undergone extensive preparation, including everything from initial design to the creation of paper models and planting live plants that require regular care throughout the exhibition.

Additionally, you’ll find modular railways in size TT, a garden railway in G size, model railway O, and various other exciting model railways. Creating model railways involves a lot of teamwork, particularly from the talented members of the Zababov model railroaders, who are responsible for assembling a modular TT railway that will be international this year due to modellers from Poland joining in. Another new and exciting addition this year will be the display of floating piers, a feature that has never been seen at the For Model exhibition before.

Historic train will stop just a short walk from the Flora Exhibition Centre

On Saturday, March 22, visitors will have the opportunity to arrive at the For Model 2025 exhibition in a stylish way, thanks to a train pulled by the unique motor locomotive T466.0007 Pilštyk. This service is made possible through a long-standing collaboration between the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Centre and ČD Nostalgie. The train will run all day between the stations of Olomouc – Main Station and Olomouc – Řepčín, with a stop in Olomouc – Nová Ulice, which is just a short 5-minute walk to the Flora Exhibition Centre where For Model 2025 is taking place.
