Discover Prague’s Exciting New Food Haven: Holešovice!

Holešovice is rapidly becoming the new hot spot for food enthusiasts in Prague, competing strongly with Karlín.
This district is experiencing an influx of new restaurants, food trucks, and upscale dining options, further establishing its status as a culinary hotspot.
A Thriving Culinary Scene in Holešovice
Numerous new dining venues have already launched in Holešovice, with additional openings anticipated soon. The Holešovice Market, which is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year, is expected to transform into the district’s most bustling gastronomic center in the months ahead.
The Ambiente group is planning to open three exciting new establishments this autumn: a new branch of the famous Myšák pastry shop located in Halls 27 and 28, an additional location for Naše maso butcher shop equipped with its own smokehouse, and an all-new Slovak restaurant.
A part of this project has been creatively conceptualized by the well-known architect Josef Pleskot, aiming to turn the market into a vibrant gathering place where guests can savor food and beverages all day long.
The restaurant will feature 30 seats and will spotlight uncomplicated Slovak dishes made with local and Slovak ingredients. The curated wine list will present a diverse selection of wines that are sure to pair wonderfully with the dishes.
Street Food and Global Flavors Coming to the Area
In addition to fine dining, street food events and pop-up venues are enriching the lively atmosphere of the district. On April 24, the Pastrami Pop-Up returns for its third time, bringing an authentic taste of New York-style street food to Holešovice Market.
Just a short distance from the market, on U Průhonu Street, a new Mexican restaurant has recently opened its doors, adding to the expanding variety of international dining choices in the vicinity.
